It's all about glittery nails at Christmas

I'm not normally into much sparkle and glitter on my clothing, however when it comes to nail varnish I am most certainly there! You can't beat a good glittery nail varnish on your ring finger or all your fingers, it's Christmas so what the hell. I have four here to share with you, one is very new and the others have been re-purchased.

American Apparel- Supernova- £7.00 -
Takes a while to dry, but when it's good to go, it's a show stopper. Being multi-coloured you can wear this with so many outfits which is great for this time of year when your off shopping, to lunch, seeing family and friends and then going out to dinner. It has a variety of sized glitter pieces which give it a bit of different overall effect which is really eye catching.

Barry M- Pink Sapphire- £2.99 -
A pot of pink sparkly goodness for under three quid! Such a bargain polish and has great lasting quality when used with a good top coat. The circle pieces of glitter are all pink, but then there are single strands of silver glitter which changes colour in the light which can look so pretty. It can catch the light to look gold, silver, pink, blue, the list goes on. If your going for a proper girlie pretty glitter, this is your gal.

Essie- Leading Lady- £5.44 -
This is one of a kind in my collection as the polish is not see through with glitter. Its actually a dark red which on the brush can look red/black its that dark. The glitter is a bright red and very sparkly. Can be worn on its own, but if thats the case you do need to layer a few times. I normally chuck on any red I have then put this on top. Has the lasting power of shellac and can stay on my nails for what feels like forever. A perfect Christmas Eve/day polish.

Ciate mini- Snow Globe- Full size--> £9.00 -
A clear polish that contains multi sized holographic flakes, which transform your coloured polish into an actual snow globe! One coat gives a few random pieces of glitter but layer on a few coats and your fingers are ready to hit the dance floor. The only issue I've had with this is that some pieces of glitter are that big that they don't lay on my nails flat, instead they stick out and catch in my hair and so on. The holographic pieces catch the light and show of a few different colours. This is especially beautiful when put on top of a nude or neutral polish.

Will you be adding some sparkle to your nails the festive season? Get in touch and let me know! Would love for people to tweet me a picture or tag me in an Instagram post!

Also, a massive hello to my new subscribers! I am so happy to have you hear :)

Happy painting on this cold and dark mani Monday!

xoxo

For The Love Of Cucumbers and Skincare

AD with Yes To Good morning and happy National Cucumber Day! I love cucumbers! There, I said it. I like to eat them, drink them in juices and smoothies, and even like them in my skincare routine. Over the last couple of months I've really struggled with my skin. Getting hard lumps under the skin, and rash like breakouts that were super persistent and refused to die down. I thought about whether or not I was using too many different products and clogging up my skin, or it was just down to stress or something. All I knew was that I had to give something a go and hope for it to work it's magic on my problem skin as it was getting me down. What a day to share my love of cucumbers and my love of the  Yes To Cucumber  range with you cuties. Make yourself a cheese (vegan cheese if you're like myself) and cucumber sandwich and take a read about a range you'll want try!  It may shock you to see an entire range made with cucumbers, but it's actually a

How To Read More & What I Read In May

*gifted items and affiliate links Hi mates, it's been a while!  So, I've had quite a few requests to create a blog post all about how I read so much. Don't get me wrong there are loads of people out there that read way more than me. But I average 4 books a month, however with lockdown in the UK I've been able to rack up my monthly average.  Let's just jump straight in to how I read as much as I do. 1 ~ Choose books you WANT to read This sounds super obvious, however I myself have been known to follow book trends and pick up a book because it's all over the gram, or because my favourite influencer has told me to read it. Doing so can result in books you just don't get in the flow of reading and books you don't want to actively pick up.  Know what genres you like to read. Know what authors you like and do some digging to make sure you pick wisely. Sometimes you will be disappointed with a book that you feel you should of enjoye

Easy To Make Zero Waste Coffee Body Scrub

I'm back on this blogging hype and I'm feeling super inspired to get my space of the internet up and running again. Basically I thought I knew what I was doing in the back end of my blog (theme, settings etc) and for a few months I couldn't do anything until my friends life saver boyfriend sorted it for me! So, lets jump into a cosmetic, zero waste body care at home post and something I'm loving using in my daily shower routine.  It doesn't cost the earth, makes your skin ultra soft, and all you need are things from the kitchen cupboard.   I don't know if you've seen the companies selling coffee scrub or very similar products for around £6 and up, so making something like this thats fresh and uses up a waste bi-product and cupboard essentials means you're saving money as well as saving the purchase of a product!  Items I use in my homemade body scrub: * Coffee Grounds * Coconut Sugar 4tbp * Vanilla Extract 3tsp First things first, the co
