Wearing red at Christmas

It doesn't have to be the party season for me to rock a red lipstick, but it is something that people like to wear more around the festive period. My problem though is that I really do like wearing red lipsticks and have quite a few and have narrowed it down to my favs for the party season (one in particular that has featured a lot on the blog).

As a Sleek lipstick love I own quite a few of their lip products, but this by far is my favourite shade. It's got a hint of pink in there which is more of a fuscia hint than anything else. Being such a gorgeous mix of red and pink it really does brighten my teeth and skin. It's got great staying power, and not too drying even though it's a matte product.

A lip pencil/crayon that applies smooth, pigmented, handbag friendly and has awesome lasting power...... My list can go on and on about this product. The shade is a lovely bright red, very similar in colour with the Loreal lipstick featured. Great with food as once its on your lips, its on.

Red, red, red with a slight undertone of orange which helps to give it such a vibrant payoff when on the lips. A matte lipstick which I find I need to use a pencil with as smudges on me but really does compliment my pale porcelain skin. A nice bright red to make a statement in an all black sparkly outfit this season.

A very talked about lipstick. Sometimes called the 'perfect vintage red'. The main reason for this is the shade as it looks like such a perfect bright red. Not too much of an undertone to it but a shade that you could imagine Marilyn Monroe wearing. Would imagine it to be very flattering on all skin types and hair colours. Matte finish again.... I obviously like a matte finish. I have to prep my lips well for times when this is going to be worn, however colour lasts well and one you will get many compliments on.

Darkest of the group and is  most definitely a true red. It has slight blue undertones which help to make your teeth look whiter .... WIN! Do I need to tell you what finish this is? No, what I do need to tell you is that you can't fail with this lipstick, especially in the winter.

Get ready for something different... HIGH SHINE! Yes you heard it right, high shine, velvety smooth liquid lipstick. Once dry it feels like a lipstick on the lips but one that be layered and layered without going all clumpy or funny looking. Also a lip products that applies in a liquid form but doesn't really come off once dry. Sip away at that champagne knowing your Christmasy lips are still very much there.

So that was 6 of my fav festive red lip products for this season.

Would love for you to tell me yours!

Much love

For The Love Of Cucumbers and Skincare

AD with Yes To Good morning and happy National Cucumber Day! I love cucumbers! There, I said it. I like to eat them, drink them in juices and smoothies, and even like them in my skincare routine. Over the last couple of months I've really struggled with my skin. Getting hard lumps under the skin, and rash like breakouts that were super persistent and refused to die down. I thought about whether or not I was using too many different products and clogging up my skin, or it was just down to stress or something. All I knew was that I had to give something a go and hope for it to work it's magic on my problem skin as it was getting me down. What a day to share my love of cucumbers and my love of the  Yes To Cucumber  range with you cuties. Make yourself a cheese (vegan cheese if you're like myself) and cucumber sandwich and take a read about a range you'll want try!  It may shock you to see an entire range made with cucumbers, but it's actually a

How To Read More & What I Read In May

*gifted items and affiliate links Hi mates, it's been a while!  So, I've had quite a few requests to create a blog post all about how I read so much. Don't get me wrong there are loads of people out there that read way more than me. But I average 4 books a month, however with lockdown in the UK I've been able to rack up my monthly average.  Let's just jump straight in to how I read as much as I do. 1 ~ Choose books you WANT to read This sounds super obvious, however I myself have been known to follow book trends and pick up a book because it's all over the gram, or because my favourite influencer has told me to read it. Doing so can result in books you just don't get in the flow of reading and books you don't want to actively pick up.  Know what genres you like to read. Know what authors you like and do some digging to make sure you pick wisely. Sometimes you will be disappointed with a book that you feel you should of enjoye

Easy To Make Zero Waste Coffee Body Scrub

I'm back on this blogging hype and I'm feeling super inspired to get my space of the internet up and running again. Basically I thought I knew what I was doing in the back end of my blog (theme, settings etc) and for a few months I couldn't do anything until my friends life saver boyfriend sorted it for me! So, lets jump into a cosmetic, zero waste body care at home post and something I'm loving using in my daily shower routine.  It doesn't cost the earth, makes your skin ultra soft, and all you need are things from the kitchen cupboard.   I don't know if you've seen the companies selling coffee scrub or very similar products for around £6 and up, so making something like this thats fresh and uses up a waste bi-product and cupboard essentials means you're saving money as well as saving the purchase of a product!  Items I use in my homemade body scrub: * Coffee Grounds * Coconut Sugar 4tbp * Vanilla Extract 3tsp First things first, the co
