Late on the bandwagon: Maybelline Colour Tattoo

I've held off on buying some of these Maybelline Colour Tattoo eye creams as I had heard so many mixed thoughts on them which made me more and more hesitant about giving them a go. This changed when I was in Boots a while ago and noticed the three for two deal and nothing else really took my fancy so thought I'd take the risk and grab a couple to try out.

To start off I am so impressed with the staying power of these bad boys. On my skin these guys stick around. I wouldn't say it's for the 24 hours that it states in the name however an awfully long time. Even trying to take off my swatch in Boots took a while and had to completely remove it with my trusty steed Clarins make up remover when I got home.

The low down: I went for the shades Metallic Pomegranate and Permanent Taupe and will be going back for more. The shade Permanent Taupe is such a wearable everyday shade and looks great on its own or will a little darker shade popped into the crease. The Metallic Pomegranate on the other hand is my favourite of the two and love wearing it on its own. I used a MAC 217 to blend out the edge and it looked great. I found that it took a little while to completely blend it out but the finished result was just what I like from a red eye make up look. Like I said the staying power is great, especially perfect for a night out as sweat won't even budge them. I noticed a bit of creasing when using the cream without a primer so this is something I'm currently experimenting with several primers.

Overall I was pretty chuffed with these little guys and will most certainly be having another look in Boots on the next three for two as I love the look of the And On Bronze shade.

Much love!

  4. These are so good! You need to pick up the leather effect ones as they're such great matte colour! It's very hard to find good matte cream shadows I find.

For The Love Of Cucumbers and Skincare

AD with Yes To Good morning and happy National Cucumber Day! I love cucumbers! There, I said it. I like to eat them, drink them in juices and smoothies, and even like them in my skincare routine. Over the last couple of months I've really struggled with my skin. Getting hard lumps under the skin, and rash like breakouts that were super persistent and refused to die down. I thought about whether or not I was using too many different products and clogging up my skin, or it was just down to stress or something. All I knew was that I had to give something a go and hope for it to work it's magic on my problem skin as it was getting me down. What a day to share my love of cucumbers and my love of the  Yes To Cucumber  range with you cuties. Make yourself a cheese (vegan cheese if you're like myself) and cucumber sandwich and take a read about a range you'll want try!  It may shock you to see an entire range made with cucumbers, but it's actually a

A November Book Haul

contains pr products, *aff My obsession with books and reading is still going strong guys! Since my post way back outlining how I was getting back into ready ... I think was back in 2018 and here we are. I've smashed my Goodreads goal of reading 50 books this year, and I'm actually closer to achieving 100 books read. I don't want to put too much pressure on myself but, I'd LOVE to get there. Anyway, books are a huge part of my life now. And even though I like everyone go through slumps where I don't want to read anything, when I am in the reading mood I normally have a few on the go at the same time and have turned into a big mood reader. Which I've found actually helps me get through books so much quicker.  As a member of the Book Break Insiders Influencer group, I am lucky enough to be sent a selection of books every month. Which helps to keep my nose is a book that's for sure! Book 1: The Silence by Don DeLillo* A timely and compelling novel about what ha

How To Read More & What I Read In May

*gifted items and affiliate links Hi mates, it's been a while!  So, I've had quite a few requests to create a blog post all about how I read so much. Don't get me wrong there are loads of people out there that read way more than me. But I average 4 books a month, however with lockdown in the UK I've been able to rack up my monthly average.  Let's just jump straight in to how I read as much as I do. 1 ~ Choose books you WANT to read This sounds super obvious, however I myself have been known to follow book trends and pick up a book because it's all over the gram, or because my favourite influencer has told me to read it. Doing so can result in books you just don't get in the flow of reading and books you don't want to actively pick up.  Know what genres you like to read. Know what authors you like and do some digging to make sure you pick wisely. Sometimes you will be disappointed with a book that you feel you should of enjoye
