Liked photos on Instagram #2

Who doesn't have Instagram nowadays? I'm putting it out there, it's my favourite social media platform. I love photography and being nosey and you put the two together and hey presto you have Instagram. A similar post went up on my blog a while ago which all of you loved and focused on the last group of pictures I had liked on my account to do with beauty. This time I'm branching out and sharing with you the last 10 photos (even if they're not related to beauty).

Addicted to beauty

"You have too much" or "Do you really need that" are said to me frequently and some see my hobby somewhat unnecessary. I can't go into town or any shop for that matter (including supermarkets) without taking a detour down the beauty isles. I'm drawn to it all and am addicted to trying as many products as I can. I can't describe it as anything other than an addiction to all things beauty.

I have a Cath Kidston beauty travel bag which is always full of new products I'm yet to try. Once I've bought something I bring it home and they go straight into the bag. I slowly introduce a few items at a time into my main beauty draw and take pictures of the products and keep a note book close by. If I'm kindly sent products they're photographed immediately and over take items that I have bought myself as I always want to test PR samples out and upload my post in a good amount of time.

Around two years ago now I took a year out of my blog having been …

Why They're Real is worth it

I seem to always be on a mission to find the perfect mascara. Having stubborn lashes I tend to go for waterproof as I find they hold a curl better, but to be honest the Kevin Aucoin eyelash curler is a godsend helping with that issue out.  Years ago I thought I'd found THE perfect one being Loreal Telescopic Waterproof however it was discontinued last year and had to find a replacement. I wont lie to you guys, I literally didn't know what to do with myself. Since then I've been on a mission testing out too many mascaras and feel I have finally discovered one that is the closest to the Loreal I can find.

Plastic wands have never been my favourite as I find it quite uncomfortable when applying it. Benefits They're Real has a plastic wand but like no other. It has very fine bristles and some on the very end making a type of ball effect on the end which is great at getting the pesky small lashes in the corners and outer edges of your eyes. The formula is very gloopy to beg…

Fashion Friday - My obsession with ASOS is real

Being a premier ASOS customer and having the app on my phone is totally dangerous. I find myself just passing the time by adding things to my basket, adding items to my favourites and saving them for later and before I know it I've got £500 worth in my favoured section....Saying this I am quite choosy when it comes to ordering online and will only order something if i REALLY need or want it. I thought I'd share with you what is currently in my favoured section on the app.

All of the items I feel could be taken through Autumn as well as wearing them now (even though it seems our summer has already disappeared). Short dresses can be worn with nice thick tights, tunics and cropped tops with jeans and boots. They are all transitional which definitely means I should get them all right?

A blemish stage and stubborn eye make up

The summer has certainly been a turn around for my skin. Looking back to the end of July my skin started to become quite spotty and prone to breakouts and needed some help in the make up removal step.

Taking off stubborn eye make up was a step that I am not fond of. I am inpatient and can't stand sitting at my desk holding cotton pads on my eyes for ages. Then I found this beautiful product from Nivea that is just a powerful as my old Clarins make up remover but cheaper! I just soak a cotton pad in the remover and hold for about ten seconds and give them a slight and light rub and move around and the majority comes off and the bottle lasts ages.

I started by kicking the processed sugar (well as much as possible) as I found myself eating and drinking a fair amount which certainly wasn't helping matters. I also dug out my Clarisonic Mia having not used it for a little while I thought my skin would love a good scrub and re-fresh. I don't use it every day, more like twice a we…

For the love of coconuts

Coconut water some think of as a marmite thing, you either love it or hate it. I for one absolutely love it and use it in so many different ways. Last month I was kindly sent this amazing package from Vita Coco* (which I was over the moon with) and thought I'd share with you the different ways I like to use coconut water as well as just drinking it straight from the carton. It's taken me a while to create this post as I wanted to test out various recipes over time to give you a more than accurate post.

Myself and Tony love a good morning smoothie or juice in our house and use coconut water as the liquid base for them. I don't really follow any recipes but chuck random stuff in and hope for the best (which sometimes fails). Our favourite recipe out of them all is the one pictured below:

Green smoothie- Coconut water, avocado, spinach, frozen mango, a teaspoon of honey and one banana.

I do really enjoy drinking Vita Coco water on its own straight from the carton. It's great…

Hand luggage only?

Choosing to not have any hold luggage is nice and a quicker overall process. Your not waiting ages for the luggage to come off the plane and worrying whether it got 'lost' or not. This summer I'm going away on two holidays both flying with easyJet and I've chosen to just take hand luggage away with me on both of my trips. I take a small suitcase that fits into the overhead lockers and also a small under arm bag. For a beauty obsessive this is hard as your limited to the amount of liquid you can take. It's cut throat and not everything makes the cut, so heres how I get around it.

Of course the usual items make the cut to help get through the flight which include my Kindle (which is the old one but still going strong). I tend to purchase a magazine whilst in airport too. My phone is will obviously come along with me and just incase I over use it or my Kindle I have my PNY power bank which gives one full charge (perfect for a short flight). Lastly my RayBan sunglasses …
