Three from Lush

Having recently suffered one of the worst allergic reactions to medication I'd ever experienced, I had to lay off the scented products for a week or so. This made me really miss my lush bath and shower times and as soon as I could use them again, my love affair rekindled. These three are just a few of the products I came home with after the Lush winter event that I started using again just the other day and knew these had to be my top three that I share my thoughts on.
American Cream is a hair conditioner which my hair certainly thanked me for after just one use. I've said this numerous times now, my hairs not in the best condition and after a long time of continuous highlights its pretty dry. The smell reminds me of those hard boiled sweets that have pink and white swirls on as it's a gorgeous strawberries and cream scent. If like me, you can suffer with occasional flakes, then you should give this a try as the sage and lavender help to soothe and calm the scalp.

It's a Pixi kinda feeling

Using the Pixi Glow Tonic most days for around a year now is something that I'm not looking to replace any time soon. It deserves the hype it gets and if you're yet to try it, it's actually available in large M&S stores. Having this much love for the glow tonic meant only one thing. I spray a couple of times (three or four lets be real) all over my face and follow with a general anti ageing serum. This especially helps with the colder times we're experiencing right now and gives a nice boost of moisture to the skin.

I try to use the Glow Peel Pads on a Sunday as a little treat but if my skin needs mor…

Discovering my true relationship with beauty

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has make up free days, in which you lounge in the house watching episode after episode on Netflix (ok that bit might just be me) being very relaxed and chilled. My most recent make up free day actually turned into seven full days and still counting. It seems that my body wasn't keen on a new medication I'd been prescribed which resulted in a full body rash and serious facial swelling, meaning; no make up, no skincare, and no Lush cosmetics baths or showers. Yep, the beauty bloggers cold turkey!

During this period of isolation (literally only leaving the house for doctor and hospital visits) I've really thought about my relationship with beauty. What it is to me, why do I like to have a strict skincare routine morning and night, why do I apply make up, why do I own ten different red lipsticks and five different mascaras? Now being the seventh day without anything beauty coming near my body, I've found some answers to my question…
