Constantly shopping my wardrobe | Fashion

I recently spoke to a close friend about my spending habits and she honestly nearly choked when I said "But I don't spend much on clothes". To be fair, she sees me posting pictures on Instagram and Snapchat sharing all clothes, bags and beauty etc so, I guess it comes across like I'm always buying new items. To tell you the truth, I rarely buy clothes and am a bit of a strange clothing shopper. I can't straight up go into Topshop for example and spend £50 on a dress or £45 on some jeans. I just can't part with that lump of money on a regular basis. Every now and again, I'll have a little spend, but all of which I'm very selective and clear minded with my purchases.

So, how do I make it seem new and fresh? Well, changing up your wardrobe with the seasons allows you to feel quite fresh with the options you give yourself. If I'm starring at the same wardrobe from January through to December, I'm going to grab the same things over an…

Christmas gift guide | His stocking

Not everyone does a stocking from their partners nor receive one from family, but for me they are somewhat a magical way to give presents. In Christmas stories you read as a child, they all had stockings and that's just the way it's always been with my family. I've made a conscious effort this year to start shopping for stockings and small presents early on, so I can proudly say I've basically finished my boyfriends stocking, which lightens the load a bit on the lead up to the big day. I like to include small handy things in a stocking that Tony will need or uses on a regular basis (Tony is your reading this, I've made a point of not including anything I've got for you).

Wahl Sterling Beard Oil - If he doesn't have facial hair you could go down the moisturiser route or even hair clay, etc. Something that they use every day that is domestic. Tony has facial hair and without fail will get some sort of beard oil or treatment which he does use all the time and …

Baking with pumpkins | Gluten free and dairy free

Baking is something I'm not afraid to experiment with. To try new recipes, create my own and to purely have some fun. I feel that there's no limit to what you can do and try and no real rules to stick to so naturally I had to try out something for pumpkin season.
I'd seen Poppy Deyes post all about pumpkins and how she decorated her flat and made pumpkin loaf using someonesrecipe, which is also the same recipe I followed. Having successfully baked a banana bread before, I thought to myself, it shouldn't be too hard....... so lets take a look in picture form!

I tweeted the morning of my baking this about whether or not I should buy pumpkin puree or not or whether I should create the puree myself, and I'm so glad I did it myself. It was quite a lengthy process, but you feel like you're really accomplishing something and put something extra into your bake. My poor little Ninja got a little overheated doing this, so I think it's about time I invested in a prope…

My lipstick choices | Autumn/Winter

As the seasons change, my choices change as do everyone's. From my choice of what herbal tea I want, the pjs I reach for, to the lipstick I want to wear. They all become very seasonal appropriate and feel like lipstick becomes quite a big thing during the November/December time period, for me anyway, as I'm often seen sporting a bold lip.

I'm finding that all five of these are either hanging around at the bottom of my bag, in my make up pouch or in my jacket pocket. All in their own way add a lovely bit of colour,
and is just my thing this time of year. From caring to my lips to bold and daring, lets get stuck in!

For days when I'm not keen on a bright or opaque lipstick, I reach for the Dr Paw Paw peach tint. This is more for days when I go a little heavy on the eyes and like to add a subtle sheen on the lips. This really does the trick and helps sort out any dry thing going on. My next step up is the Kat Von D liquid lipstick in Double Dare. Being quite a deep coc…

Lover of monochrome | Style

On the countdown to Christmas I feel obliged to wear a bright red lip frequently and start swapping my flat white, to a Christmassy special. Around this time of year is when my constant sporting of monochrome outfits comes in handy, as they really let bright red lippy pop. Some might argue my following statement but, for me, believe it or not, is quite a Christmassy outfit!

Lets start with the huge (amazing) specs on my face. Glasses just add a little quirkiness to an an outfit don't they, and recon if I had worn my contacts, the overall look would be so different. I really love adding lots of different elements into an outfit such as this. I've thrown a red lip, fluffy jumper, layering, gold detail, a pom pom and a little touch of smart with my shoes of choice all together. I never do it on purpose, and never think 'oh lets mix that texture with that'. I just grab what I want and go with it.

I'm really into subtle jewllery at the moment and loving my small dainty s…

A touch of pink | Style

Bright, pastel or dusky, whatever shade of pink you can think of, it's hot this season. Even coming from someone who doesn't often wear much colour, I'm fully embracing incorporating a touch of pink into my outfits.

Jumpers/fluffiness ~ If your more adventurous than just including a touch of colour, there are lots of jumpers and tops around at the moment that are some gorgeous shades and have to say, I am a little tempted to get some more. I purchased this fluffy top/short sleeved jumper ages ago from H&M. I saw it pictured in Vogue and straight away drove to my closest store and luckily nabbed it. Its not the most flattering of tops but its such a gorgeous dusky pink and super comfortable that I seriously love it.

A scarf ~ this was a bargain from COS a while a go when the pink thing wasn't as hot as what it is now. A scarf is such an easy way of bringing in a bit of colour into a plain outfit to give it a little bit of a different look. I'm dressing…
