Jasmin Vardimons Pinocchio | Sadlers Wells Theatre

Theatre in all forms has always been a focal point to my life, and I like to take time out of my day job within the arts to enjoy it for performance sake. Having studied Jasmin Vardimon myself at university I knew what to expect in terms of her physical theatre a choreographic style. Having said this, I actually found myself being surprised with her creativity and unexpected approach to this traditional story that we can all feel the back in our childhood day vibes.
Taking a well known story and recreating it is a daring move, but is it a recreation? During the symposium after the show Jasmin referenced the fact she had been very much influenced and inspired by the original story (before Disney) and wanted to focus on the theme of manipulation. The power to manipulate the audiences minds to making them believe what they see. manipulating the story to include elements it hasn't had before (like having a female playing Pinocchio).

One element in particular that fascinated me was the…

Bringing Summer To September With Skinny Dip | Fashion

What do you do when the seasons are changing, and you're in that transitional period where the suns still out and shining bright but its a little chilly? I personally like to layer, and bring in some summer vibes to my outfits to make the summer last that little bit longer. The best and easiest way to brighten up outfits is through your accessories, and in this case bags and phone cases.

Because its September and is relatively early in the season change you can definitely get away with anything summer related. I mean, I'm looking around for a sunny holiday in October so I'm not only embracing it now in the UK but will continue through to October.

I'm sorry, but this bag is possible the cutest bag I have ever owned. Just look at how cute the design in, and the fact its in millennial pink just makes it even better. I managed to fit my camera, purse, phone, lipstick and more in this little guy as it's actually got some depth to it. Throughout the times I've worn t…

Plan Your Face Mask Filled Pamper Sleepover

Life gets in the way, and with us being so super busy all the time it's important to book in those special days and evenings with our loved ones. Personally, I feel that sleepovers are one of the best ways to catch up with your girlfriends. I mean we're talking about pamper sessions, bubbly, snacks, and in my eyes thats a perfect night in right there.

I ran a poll on my Twitter asking what peoples ideal sleepover looked like, whether that's more of a painting nails evening or alcohol infused chats into the early hours. In the end myself and some close friends decided to mix all of those elements together to make one big awesome night.

Thanks to *7th Heaven we had an amazing selection of face masks to choose from to aid our pamper time. I mean to complete the sleepover experience you've got to have some sort of pamper item on the agenda, so these were just perfect. And to top it off, the babes at 7th Heaven sent super cute headbands for us to ensure our hair wouldn't…

My Festival Look With Lipcote And Browcote

Getting that spot on festival look can be hard, as with me I find myself struggling to stop with the glitter and go so OTT I don't really have a look. The lovely Belinda at 'The Painted Lady' Invited myself and my gorge pal Jess to the salon, and get all festival ready with Lipcote

I started my festival makeover by getting my first ever henna done (yep I'm not joking, my first ever henna experience). Henna can add a really nice touch to your festival get it. There's just something about it that looks cool and is a really pretty added detail to an outfit, and I'm now a huge fan. Your henna will last roughly a week depending on how much you wash your hands and use hand cream etc. If you're not an accessory kind of person, henna is perfect to style up your outfit.

My next stop was the glitter (and in my eyes, the best part of any festival look). People are so much more adventurous with how they used glitter, creating looks with glitter lips, on the face, body…

Loose Things Are All That Fits Me Right Now

Following on from my mindset post (which, my friends I need to thank you all for all of the love and support I received since publishing), I wanted to chat a little about weight gain. That dreaded topic that everyone always seems to have on their mind. whether its because your jeans are too tight or you just feel sluggish and heavy, everyone at some point has weight on their mind.
As most of you know I fell very ill (three years ago this September and I'm sorry to talk about it a lot but it's a huge part of my life) and I was diagnosed with Colitis disease. Dramatic weightloss and not having the ability to keep in food proved difficult and my body went under all sorts of changes. I went down to 9 stone, which for me is incredibly light and was the lightest I'd been in years. Being a dancer and dance teacher my whole life I've been at a "normal" healthy weight with a lot of muscle and was averaging 11 - 11.7.

It's so tough when your body changes and you ha…

5 Ways I Changed My Mindset | Lifestyle

It's taken me so may attempts to finally figure out how I wanted to introduce this post, so thought I'd start from the beginning of this mindful journey I've experienced and still experiencing.

Since January my life has changed in multiple ways. I started a new job which has had a huge impact on my quality of life, and how I now actually have spare time and freedom. My health has improved dramatically (with the occasional flare) because I have time to take care of myself. I actually plan, prep, experiment with food so much more as diet is so important to my IBD. I don't have excessive stress anymore which actually prevented me from eating and caused severe anxiety. As well as those factors,I lost a very close family member not long ago. It's always such a hard time in your life when you lose someone, and that was really the moment that made me rethink health and me, myself and I.
I started being a lot more mindful and put a great deal of focus into who I was surroun…
