Am I a Lush Cosmetics addict?

I've been thinking recently about what it actually is that makes me so mad about Lush. Thinking about whether or not it's just a hyped up brand by many bloggers out there (including myself) who snap away and get that gram whenever they take a soak, making me want products, or do I actually love what the products are and appreciate the products for what they do?

Being a company that don't test on animals is a bonus, and something I'm now trying to live buy as a new addition to my resolutions (post HERE), and knowing I can buy anything under the roof of Lush is just easy. But it's not just the fact they don't test on animals. It's just as amazing how they recycle bottles and make a head scarf out of them, and that you can take your empty bottles in to recycle if you want. There are so many different ways that Lush are trying to help the planet and a reason why I respect and love what the company is about.

Of course I'm not going to forget about how every product smells delicious and good enough to eat. And that no matter what you pick up in store, the camera loves it. Scents are such a big thing to us and one of the biggest things people look for in a bath or shower product as well as the benefits. Scents are made easy in Lush and you know what you're getting. A great smelling product
that does what it says and will leave you in a daze for days. The scents stay on the skin for such a long time (sometimes we're talking not just hours, days) and the product that says it will moisturise, so it moisturises.

As well as the scents the fact they sell things like bath bombs and bubble bars that are fun and really tickle the senses. Being not just a nice smell, but a work of art in your bath of which they bring new items out very regularly. You've got thing for the shower people, like jellies that come in mantas beards and in shower body conditioners that make your skin feel baby soft and oh so brand new.

Basically, I don't need anyone to persuade me to buy from Lush. I honestly love the company and its products. Lush art is big within the community and as the products are so photogenic, naturally appear on our feeds. But that's not the thing that makes me go back time after time. The staff are all so passionate about the products and the brand, wanting you to love them as much as them. I can't stress enough what a #lushaddict I am, but I can assure you, this love is real and I will keep on supporting Lush as I know they are quality and beneficial products I'm buying that are cruelty free and I can recycle.

I'm Jaide and I'm a Lush addict. There, I said it.

xoxo

  3. I generally love going into the store to be greeted by such beautiful smells and lovely happy staff members that are so helpful and kind! The products can sometimes be pricey, but I'm so happy they are against animal testing and are trying to help the planet so much! I too love lush but I don't think I'm an addict :)

For The Love Of Cucumbers and Skincare

AD with Yes To Good morning and happy National Cucumber Day! I love cucumbers! There, I said it. I like to eat them, drink them in juices and smoothies, and even like them in my skincare routine. Over the last couple of months I've really struggled with my skin. Getting hard lumps under the skin, and rash like breakouts that were super persistent and refused to die down. I thought about whether or not I was using too many different products and clogging up my skin, or it was just down to stress or something. All I knew was that I had to give something a go and hope for it to work it's magic on my problem skin as it was getting me down. What a day to share my love of cucumbers and my love of the  Yes To Cucumber  range with you cuties. Make yourself a cheese (vegan cheese if you're like myself) and cucumber sandwich and take a read about a range you'll want try!  It may shock you to see an entire range made with cucumbers, but it's actually a

*This post features an advertorial with P'URE Papaya Lips Hi, hey, how are ya? It's been a while I know, and I'm sorry. I needed some time to settle into freelance life (which, I'm loving btw), and just some time to get into the new swing of things you know.  So anyway, that can be saved and chucked into a separate blog post (let me know if you fancy that).  Over on Instagram I've been sharing the odd product here and there over the last few months regarding skincare, as my skin went super dry as soon as the seasons and weather changed. My skin was flaking it was that dry, and my lips were red raw and went without lipstick as I couldn't bare to put anything on them at all. Thankfully I ended up creating a nice little routine....more on that in a bit, and found some new must haves for hydrating and softening the skin and lips.  Lets start from the bottom to the top ey? I like being awkward! And, before we get stuck in, these are all products

Cruelty Free Living Products And Where To Find Them

A super sunny good day to you beauties!  Welcome to my first of many cruelty free living posts I've wanted to do for such a long time now, and I've finally planned them and can't wait to hopefully inspire some of you to make a simple change to support the unfair testing and use of animals. The most common thing I hear back from people is "it's going to be expensive" or "that's so much effort", well it's actually not and the only effort you need to put in is to just pick up a different bottle *holds head in hands. It's that simple.  Over the last two years I've been gradually replacing items in my home with cruelty free alternatives to get to the point I'm at today. The majority of you guys like me, go to one store for the bulk of your weekly/monthly shop, however I've grown to enjoy searching for cruelty free products and options so am now a bit of a shop hopper.  When I think of the places I like to hit up th
