A November Book Haul

contains pr products, *aff

My obsession with books and reading is still going strong guys!

Since my post way back outlining how I was getting back into ready ... I think was back in 2018 and here we are. I've smashed my Goodreads goal of reading 50 books this year, and I'm actually closer to achieving 100 books read. I don't want to put too much pressure on myself but, I'd LOVE to get there.
Anyway, books are a huge part of my life now. And even though I like everyone go through slumps where I don't want to read anything, when I am in the reading mood I normally have a few on the go at the same time and have turned into a big mood reader. Which I've found actually helps me get through books so much quicker.
As a member of the Book Break Insiders Influencer group, I am lucky enough to be sent a selection of books every month. Which helps to keep my nose is a book that's for sure!

Book 1: The Silence by Don DeLillo*

A timely and compelling novel about what happens when an unpredictable crisis strikes. It is Super Bowl Sunday in the year 2022. The opening kickoff is one commercial away. Then something happens and the digital connections that have transformed our lives are severed.

Book 2: The Imposter by Anna Wharton*

Chloe lives a quiet life. Working as a newspaper archivist in the day and taking care of her Nan in the evening, she's happy simply to read about the lives of others as she files away the news clippings from the safety of her desk.

Book 3: People Like Her by Ellery Lloyd*

Emmy Jackson, Instagram sensation, is famous for always telling the unvarnished truth about modern parenthood. But Emmy isn’t as honest as her fans believe. And someone out there knows the truth, and wants to make her pay.

Book 4: Guard Your Heart by Sue Divin*

At a post-exam party, Aidan wanders alone across the Peace Bridge and becomes the victim of a brutal sectarian attack. Iona witnessed the attack; picked up Aidan's phone and filmed what happened, and gets in touch with him to return the phone. When the two meet, alone and on neutral territory, the differences between them seem insurmountable.

Book 5: The Twelve Dates of Christmas*

Get in the Christmassy spirit a little early with this adorable rom com  about a woman who signs up for twelve festive dates in the build up to Christmas. Think lots of twinkly lights and mulled wine, lots of laughs . . . and maybe a happily-ever-after!

Book 6: A Poem For Every Winter Day

This beautiful book is filled with poems taken from Allie Esiri’s bestselling poetry anthologies A Poem for Every Day of the Year and A Poem for Every Night of the Year, and are perfect for reading aloud on cold evenings.

I think you'll agree that this little haul is a winner. Just wish I could read them all now!

For The Love Of Cucumbers and Skincare

AD with Yes To Good morning and happy National Cucumber Day! I love cucumbers! There, I said it. I like to eat them, drink them in juices and smoothies, and even like them in my skincare routine. Over the last couple of months I've really struggled with my skin. Getting hard lumps under the skin, and rash like breakouts that were super persistent and refused to die down. I thought about whether or not I was using too many different products and clogging up my skin, or it was just down to stress or something. All I knew was that I had to give something a go and hope for it to work it's magic on my problem skin as it was getting me down. What a day to share my love of cucumbers and my love of the  Yes To Cucumber  range with you cuties. Make yourself a cheese (vegan cheese if you're like myself) and cucumber sandwich and take a read about a range you'll want try!  It may shock you to see an entire range made with cucumbers, but it's actually a

*This post features an advertorial with P'URE Papaya Lips Hi, hey, how are ya? It's been a while I know, and I'm sorry. I needed some time to settle into freelance life (which, I'm loving btw), and just some time to get into the new swing of things you know.  So anyway, that can be saved and chucked into a separate blog post (let me know if you fancy that).  Over on Instagram I've been sharing the odd product here and there over the last few months regarding skincare, as my skin went super dry as soon as the seasons and weather changed. My skin was flaking it was that dry, and my lips were red raw and went without lipstick as I couldn't bare to put anything on them at all. Thankfully I ended up creating a nice little routine....more on that in a bit, and found some new must haves for hydrating and softening the skin and lips.  Lets start from the bottom to the top ey? I like being awkward! And, before we get stuck in, these are all products

Cruelty Free Living Products And Where To Find Them

A super sunny good day to you beauties!  Welcome to my first of many cruelty free living posts I've wanted to do for such a long time now, and I've finally planned them and can't wait to hopefully inspire some of you to make a simple change to support the unfair testing and use of animals. The most common thing I hear back from people is "it's going to be expensive" or "that's so much effort", well it's actually not and the only effort you need to put in is to just pick up a different bottle *holds head in hands. It's that simple.  Over the last two years I've been gradually replacing items in my home with cruelty free alternatives to get to the point I'm at today. The majority of you guys like me, go to one store for the bulk of your weekly/monthly shop, however I've grown to enjoy searching for cruelty free products and options so am now a bit of a shop hopper.  When I think of the places I like to hit up th
